Can you use a regular printer for edible ink?

For an image to be edible it must be made from edible paper, ink, and using an edible printer. Once a regular inkjet printer has been used to print with regular ink cartridges (ink that is not deemed safe for consumption by the FDA) the printer is not safe to be used for edible printing.

How do you print with edible ink?

There is nothing to worry even if you are doing it for the first time. Place the frosting sheets in your edible printer just like normal paper, and print any image you desire, using Icinginks edible ink. Once the printing is over, let the frosting sheet dry for least 6 – 12 minutes.

How do you print edible images on cakes?
