Yeti coolers are made using a process called roto-molding. The plastic is softened and then rotated inside a mold causing the plastic to disperse and stick to the sides of the mold. This gives the Yeti it’s thick tough exterior.

Can you put hot coffee in a Yeti?
Yes, you can put hot coffee in a Yeti. The stainless steel shouldn’t react with the coffee or change its flavor and the vacuum insulation in the Yeti will keep the coffee hot for hours. Much longer than a regular ceramic cup.
Are yetis antimicrobial?
There’s an antimicrobial/antifungal coating inside and out, and all the seams are RF-welded to ensure that they’re airtight. The cooler also tapers down at the top end, near the zipper, to minimize the chances of cold leaking out.
Can yetis mold?
Yeti cups can definitely grow mold or get bad smells if you leave them long enough and don’t clean them properly. Just leaving some water in your Yeti cup or bottle for a couple of days or even a week is unlikely to create a bad smell.
Are yetis chemical free?

Yes, it’s find to put juice or fruit infused water in a Yeti cup of bottle. The vacuum insulated Yeti cup will keep it cold for hours and the stainless steel shouldn’t react with the juice or affect the flavor.
Can you put Coca Cola in a Yeti?
Yes, you can put carbonated drinks in a Yeti Rambler tumbler or bottle without issue. The carbonation will not affect the stainless steel the Yeti is made from and the insulation will help keep your drink cold and fizzy. Just be careful as a buildup of pressure can make the bottles more difficult to open.
Can you put soda in stainless steel water bottles?
Yes, you can put your soda, sparkling water, or any other carbonated drinks in your stainless steel water bottle. These drinks can’t damage your bottle in any way – stainless steel is strong enough to handle their carbonation and acidity.
