Bra sizes are made up of two components: An even number that represents the band size (32, 34, 36, etc.), and a letter that indicates the cup size (A, B, C, etc.) determined by the size of the breast itself.
What does the number in breast size mean?

What does 32DD mean?
That means a person wearing a size 32DD bra has significantly smaller breasts than someone wearing a 40DD, despite them both wearing a DD bra. And the person wearing that 32DD bra has breasts that are the same size as someone wearing a 40A bra.
