What do leeks look like in the ground?
Leeks look like overgrown green onions, with a long, cylindrical white shaft. The leaves are thick, flat and folded. Plants grow two to three feet tall, and can have a width of two inches.
How long do leeks take to grow?

How deep should a container be for leeks?
In my own experience, I’ve successfully grown 5-6 decent-sized leeks in a 10-inch pot. I have seen some people grow one leek in a small 6-inch pot, but that definitely requires more frequent watering. Make sure you always use a light, well-draining potting mix and your pot has adequate drainage holes on the bottom.
