How do you seal chalk paint on a chalkboard?
To make your chalk drawings permanent, lay your chalkboard out and carefully spray with a THIN even coat of hairspray from AT LEAST 10 inches away. Make sure you entirely cover the surface. The aerosol is important because it sprays small even droplets.
Can you seal chalkboard paint and still write on it?
You can use our markers to write or draw on dishes. If you want to make it permanent, be sure to let it dry thoroughly for around 24-48 hours before coating them with sealer to avoid smearing. A single coat should do if you are sealing over top of your chalk markers so they can’t be erased.
