Can I shape resin?
Epoxy resin is such a versatile product: once cured, it’s as hard as a rock but before it reaches that point, ArtResin is quite flexible and can be shaped and molded to create free standing resin bowls, dishes and vases.
Can you curve resin?
In most cases, the reason you have resin that bends is due to the fact that the resin needs more time to cure. After 24 hours, ArtResin will be at a 95% solidity rate. If you attempt to curve or move the resin before that 24 hour mark, the resin will likely bend.
What will resin not stick to?
Epoxy resin adhesives will bond all woods, aluminum and glass well. It does not bond to Teflon, polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon, or Mylar. It bonds poorly to polyvinyl chloride, acrylic and polycarbonate plastics. The only way to tell if an epoxy will bond to a material is to try it.
Can you use hot glue to make a resin mold?
Step 4: Casting Since cold hot glue doesn’t stick to anything you won’t need to use any other form of mold release. Simply fill the mold with resin and cure it. I cured it in a UV tank that’s meant to cure SLA prints but sticking it in sunlight for a few hours, or under a UV light for 30 minutes works just as well.
Can you manipulate resin?

Can you eat out of resin bowls?
While most of our epoxy resin does not have FDA approval certifying direct contact with food, once the epoxy is cured it becomes an inert plastic. We do not recommend eating directly from epoxy resin materials.
Is resin supposed to be flexible?
It can be normal for some resins, when poured in a thin layer, to be bendy. Some resins, especially doming resins, can be flexible after the full cure time. It may firm up by giving it more curing time, but that doesn’t always work.
What type of paint do you mix with resin?

Use a buffing wheel (or any polishing tool) to polish a larger piece of resin. It is best to attach the buffing wheel to a power drill so that the process is easier. Apply it as evenly as possible until the resin is shiny and smooth. Rub the surface with a microfiber cloth to get a glossy finish.
Can you use Tupperware as a resin mold?
