yes you can. I just redid the bed of my truck. used Lacquer thinner to prep it, then did 2 new coats on the bed walls and did 2 new coats on the bed. I use this stuff for everything and have found that if you paint over (Rattle cans) it as it tacks up, you get a nice glossy finish that lasts.
