Can Chalk Paint be used to paint walls?

Chalk Paint® can be applied to walls. It gives a wonderful texture and matt look. Use a large brush to apply Chalk Paint® to walls, like the Annie Sloan Wall Paint Brush. You can then wax the wall or leave it – bedroom walls look great with a soft, matte unwaxed finish.

Do you have to sand before using Chalk Paint?

You do NOT need to sand the entire piece of furniture when you use Chalk Paint. Clean, clean, clean. Even though the furniture may look clean, 9 times out of 10 it is not. Dirt, grime and oily residue need to be cleaned away to insure that your chalk paint will have great adhesion.

The important thing is to completely seal your piece so no water can get in and damage your paintwork. Stir Chalk Paint® Lacquer well before starting and regularly during use. All the good stuff tends to sink to the bottom! Apply a thin coat of Lacquer.
