Can I reuse Aerogarden sponges?
No, the roots grow into the peat moss (sponges), and you can’t get them out. The only way you can reuse them is if the seeds never grow and it is not full of roots.
Can you root cuttings in Aerogarden?
It depends a lot on the plants, but I’ve found that the Aerogarden can root cuttings up to twice as fast as a glass of water on a windowsill. What I have found is that plants that typically take me a long time to propagate, like hoya and ZZ plants, roots really quickly and really well in the Aerogarden.

Can you transfer AeroGarden plants to soil?
The best time to make the move from an AeroGarden seed starting system to soil is when the seedling grows its first set of true leaves. Place the seedling in the center of the pot with the top of the grow sponge at, or slightly below, the rim. Gently fill around the grow sponge with potting mix and firm it in.
