Can resin be used to make cups?

What resin should I use for cups?

1. ENVIROTEX LITE EPOXY RESIN For Tumblers. Envirotex Lite is a brand of epoxy resin you can use for tumblers, whose claim to fame is that it is a pour-on, high gloss finish. It cures to a thick, glossy coating in about 8 hours at 70F, and reaches full cure in about 48 hours.

Is epoxy and resin the same thing?

The most noticeable difference between these two compounds is their intended use. The Epoxy Coating Resin is intended for coating surface applications, while the Casting Resin is used mainly for jewelry, molds or figurines.

Is epoxy resin food safe?

The epoxy resin is not antimicrobial. We do not recommend eating directly from epoxy resin materials.

How many coats of epoxy does a tumbler need?

Can I use Mod Podge instead of epoxy?

Paper Mod Podge does all that wonders for you. It works as a sealant to your projects, you can gluwork your project with some classic mod podge and then use the Super Gloss over the top. So it gives you a very shiny, clear finish that looks like epoxy.

Is resin and Mod Podge the same?

The main difference between Mod Podge and resin is that Mod Podge is a PVA based glue product that has a small amount of sealant added to its formula. As the name suggests, an epoxy resin product is an actual resin that can be considerably more robust than a product like Mod Podge.
