Why do domestic ducks not fly away?
If they are domestic ducks, their flight is going to be limited to a few feet above the water at best. Most domestic ducks have been bred to be too heavy for real flight, so they don’t fly away from their home. If they are wild ducks they need to be taught to fly, generally, just like wild geese.
Can I let my ducks roam free?
