Can you frag ZOAS?
Zoanthids alongs with SPS (small polyp stony) are corals that is easy to frag and trade which is why it is one of the most desired corals. The most important information that you need to know about fragging zoanthids is that: they are toxic and should be handled with caution.
How fast do ZOA frags grow?
Most of mine grow at about a polyp every few weeks. However, I have a colony that is not invasive by nature but is growing about 1 polyp a day! It just all of the sudden started to go insane. Bigger palys tend to take longer it seems.

How do I make my zoas brighter?
Try placing some zoas in a little shade for a couple of weeks and see if there is an improvement on the coloration. Your Zoas may bleach if you have too much lighting. FWIW, I used a 150w, 14k Sunpod on one end of a 55g temporarily and the lighting was more than enough for my Zoos.

Place zoanthid corals in an area of low-medium to medium-high flow. Too much flow may make it hard for the polyps to open. You will know your zoanthids are “happy” if they open and are fully extended without seeming to stretch too far upright.
