Can you dye a boat canvas?

Is the canvas on your boat made of a natural fiber, such as cotton or hemp? I can’t recommend that you dye a polyester or acrylic canvas boat cover. The only dyes that work on these fibers require that you boil the fabric in the dye, which is unlikely to be practical for canvas the size of your boat cover.

Can canvas fabric be dyed?
