Why is it important to center clay on the wheel?
I wanted to give up or work with uncentered clay but I realized how important having centered clay is. Centered clay provides a base for the pot to grow. If your clay isn’t centered, your walls will be uneven. Pulling uneven walls makes it REALLY difficult to apply even pressure.
