you cannot plaster over wood, MDF, chipboard or any wood based material, there is no grip. AND even if you did the plaster would fall off because wood and wood based products move at a different rate to plaster.
Can you plaster over wood board?

Do you need to PVA a painted wall before plastering?
Do not use PVA. Firstly, you can use a mist coat of white watered down emulsion. However, it is more preferable to use a primer or top coat and water down the first layer by 10%. This allows the initial coat to properly soak into the plaster aiding adhesion of the final coat.
Do you need to PVA bonding before skimming?
Bonding about 2-3 hours, but some do leave it to following day before skimming depends on size of area. There is absolutely NO need for PVA when skimming over bonding the same day or the next day.
Can you skim on plywood?

Can you plaster onto chipboard?
You might find the chipboard will go funny when wet plaster is stuck on it, & it may fall a part if not moisture resistant, also you may get cracks regardless of taping joins. Better to remove all & block up door with proper concrete/ lightweight blocks, the end result will be superior.
