Can you overheat Cricut infusible ink?
Cricut’s infusible ink does not allow for this technique. Not unlike overheating your vinyl can cause it to warp, overheating the ink will cause it to fade. So you’ll cut your multiple layers using Cricut’s Design Space and weed the designs as you normally would (we hope you didn’t forget to ‘mirror’).

If your blank contains excess moisture, your Infusible Ink design may appear warped or “marbled” once transferred. When heat is applied, excess moisture turns into steam, which can displace pigment and create a faded or marbled appearance.

As you can see, HTV goes on so easily to anything made of polyester! The melting point of polyester is pretty high (482 degrees Fahrenheit) which means that you’re at no risk for melting your polyester fabric using any of our HTV.
Can you use infusible ink on wood?
Wood is a natural substance and does not contain polyester, the reason it’s able to work is because it’s surface is so porous that the infusible ink sinks into it. You will need to finish the surface to lock the infusible ink into the wood.
