Polymer clays will burn at temps over 385 F or so and will at that point emit very-unhealthy and unpleasant fumes and black smoke. The clay starts out soft and moldable, but once you bake it, the polymers fuse and harden.
Is polymer clay supposed to smoke in the oven?
