Prepress / preheat in your mug press – the blank mug can be placed into the heat press for 30-40 seconds. The mug should warm / slightly hot to the touch but not too hot to handle. Fill the mug with boiling water and leave for 1-2 minutes.
Can you heat press vinyl on mugs?

Can I sublimate ceramic?

Unlike applying adhesive vinyl, sublimating on ceramic mugs makes them dishwasher and microwave safe since there’s no risk of peeling. Sublimating on ceramic mugs means you need a mug press or a designated convection oven.
Can you sublimate over an already sublimated tumbler?
Yes, there is some ink depreciation when you repress the next image on but it can be managed. Teflon sheets will retain sub ink in them when placed over an existing print and then will re-transfer it to the next garment.
Why did my heat press burn my shirt?
It’s actually steam! As moisture is turned into steam and removed from the fabric, one thing that happens is that the color of your garment is it will darken where the heat press touched it. But generally you will start to see color returning back to it’s normal color within 10 minutes of your shirt cooling down.
