Virtual keys are electronic credentials that allow smartphone users to lock or unlock the Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt when in Bluetooth range using the Schlage Sense app. To send a virtual key, open the app and select the lock you want to provide access to.
How does Schlage virtual key work?
Virtual keys Your guest will receive a secure link that expires within 24 hours and leads them to the Schlage Home app where their virtual key is accepted. When they arrive at the door with their Bluetooth®-enabled smartphone, the lock will recognize their secure credentials and allow access.
Does Schlage Encode come with key?

What is the difference between Schlage Sense and encode?
While they look very similar, their smart home integration is the key difference between both locks. Schlage Sense works with HomeKit for controlling your lock using Siri. Schlage Connect is designed for Alexa and Z-Wave integration. Schlage Encode is a WiFi lock that doesn’t require a hub.
