Student’s entire screen will be recorded throughout the exam session. Student’s audio environment will be recorded during the exam session. All internet activity will be monitored during the exam session. During the verification process, a photo will be taken of the student’s face to verify the test-taker’s identify.
How does Honorlock work with dual monitors?
This feature enables automated and pop-in proctoring of on-screen activity and provides the option to prompt a test-taker to disconnect any additional displays (such as dual monitors) to ensure only one screen is in use. Honorlock can only monitor/record one screen.
Can Honorlock detect other tabs?

Can canvas tell what device you are using?
Is Canvas able to tell if you are using another device? They can’t monitor what you’re viewing, but they can tell if you’re viewing the test and if you’ve left it. There should be no reason why you would want to leave the test.
Does Honorlock flag you for looking down?
If you decide to enable the Record Webcam option for your proctored exam, please note that Honorlock’s AI consistently looks for a face in view of the camera. If the student is looking down at their paper or their face is out of view from their screen, a flag will be created for this event.
Does Honorlock detect sound?
Honorlock Voice Detection is an enhancement beyond audible sound spikes. Feedback from faculty users has indicated that simple audible alerts, detecting sound, are not useful and typically over flagged within exam sessions.

Stopped viewing the Canvas quiz-taking page [3]: the student navigates away from the quiz (closes the browser tab, opens a new browser tab, or navigates to a different program) for more than 15 seconds, or the student is inactive within Canvas for more than 30 seconds (including navigating to another Canvas page).
Does Canvas have a dark mode?
Canvas does not currently have a dark mode option, like many other sites. This allows the user to toggle into a dark mode to protect their eyes at night. Currently only designed for Iowa State Canvas.
Can teachers see how much time you spend on canvas?

Does canvas quiz track your activity?
The Canvas quiz log does not track student activity in other programs or other activity in a browser. There is a status noted in the quiz log called: “Stopped viewing the Canvas quiz-taking page”. Page view logs can be used to determine if a user accessed other Canvas content while taking a Canvas quiz.
How do I track student activity on canvas?
From within the course click on People from the course menu. Once the People page has loaded locate the student and click their name. Students who withdrew from the course will appear as inactive and all of their activity up until the date of the withdraw will be displayed.
